Scrapie cases in 2002 (Wales)

Please note that fluctuations in the number of cases reported in a given month may occur.  This is generally due to re-allocation resulting from data updating on receipt of report forms.

Cases reported = All suspected cases reported to DEFRA/SEERAD/NAWAD
Negative reports = Suspects given an alternative diagnosis at the first visit
Alt & Recovered = Suspects restricted but later released from restriction
Positive = Laboratory confirmation of Scrapie
Negative = Unable to confirm Scrapie by laboratory examination
Pending = Awaiting either a revisit or laboratory report
