Letter:
National Trust and Yewdale Farm, Coniston

R. Lewkonia

Land-Care website reader

Filed 03 Feb 05

Dear Editor

Dr Irvine's concerns about High Yewdale Farm at Coniston are well placed (1).

I knew the area very well 30 years ago, and am disappointed if the corporatised National Trust does not recognise its importance.

That area of the Lake District epitomises the essence of British land heritage.
